Magic Kingdom is the place where fairytale fantasy becomes reality for children of all ages!

The first ever park to open at what is now the Walt Disney World Resort, Magic Kingdom is the world's most visited theme park.

With Disney World’s iconic Cinderella Castle at its centre, the original Disney park has 6 themed lands to explore, with classic attractions, enchanting fireworks, musical parades and beloved Disney characters all waiting for you!

Main Street USA and Tomorrowland

Main Street USA

Emerge from the tunnel under the Walt Disney World Railroad and find yourself in a turn-of-the-century American town square!

Here you can:

  • Enjoy the zany Main Street Trolley Show
  • Have your hair cut in an authentic barber’s shop
  • Buy anything from hats to fireman souvenirs
  • …and so much more!

Tomorrowland

This sci-fi inspired, galactic community is a constantly-evolving vision of the future as if glimpsed from the 1920s and ‘30s.

Inhabited by robots, aliens and humans, Tomorrowland is home to the famous Space Mountain ride.

The most popular land in the Magic Kingdom!

Fantasyland’s fairytale charm makes it a particular favourite with young children, and no wonder! In this magical land kids can:

Frontierland

Frontierland is where you’ll find some of Magic Kingdom’s most popular rides, like Splash Mountain and the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Part jungle, part tropical island, and with a desert oasis thrown in for good measure; as soon as you enter this section of Magic Kingdom you can tell that this is going to be an adventure!

Liberty Square

Closes: 6pm - Midnight (depending on the time of year)

If you need to know times for a specific date, we recommend checking with the park just before you visit.

Magic Kingdom Parking

  • Magic Kingdom has a huge paid parking area near Disney World’s Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC)
  • Once you have parked, you can take a tram to the TTC
  • From there, board the monorail (faster) or a ferryboat (windier but more relaxing!) into the Magic Kingdom park

 Parking Tip 1

The car park is so huge - parking, waiting for the tram and queuing at the TTC can take a little while, so ensure you arrive with plenty of time to spare!

Once you’ve paid for parking at one Walt Disney World park, you can park at any of the other parks for free that day.

Staying at a Disney hotel?

If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can park at Epcot park for free. Just make sure you have a valid Key to the World Card or Resort Parking Permit.

 Parking Tip 3

The car parks at Disney World are BIG! Make sure you don’t lose your car by writing your row and lot number on something that won't run if it gets wet.

If you do forget where you’ve parked, find a car park tram driver and let them know the approximate time you arrived - they should be able to direct you to the right area.

Park at Epcot for less walking, jump on the Monorail which is there and ride it 1 stop to the TTC, from where you can take a 2nd monorail straight into the Magic Kingdom!

  • The Disney World Resort is in southwest Orlando, west of Florida’s Turnpike off Interstate 4.
  • For Epcot, take Exit 64 from Interstate 4.

What can I bring into Magic Kingdom?

Food items, such as snacks or food that does not require heating, are allowed to be brought into the Disney World parks. However you must let a Security Cast Member know if you are bringing in any food items when you enter the park.

Alcohol is not allowed to be brought into the Disney parks.

What to wear at Magic Kingdom

Casual and comfortable clothes are a must for a day at the Disney parks, as are good walking shoes – you want to have fun, not worry about sore feet!

Rain showers are common in the afternoons, so you may want to bring a waterproof jacket or poncho just in case.

Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times inside the Disney parks.

What am I NOT allowed to wear at Magic Kingdom?

  • Adult costumes or clothing that could be viewed as representative of an actual Disney character
  • Masks
  • Clothing with objectionable material, including obscene language or graphics
  • Excessively torn clothing
  • Revealing clothing that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment
  • Objectionable tattoos
